2018 Fall Pollinator Seed Ball Workshop in Ely, Iowa @LinnCoPF
October 10, 2018 by Tina Elwood-Gehrke
On October 10, 2018, the Linn Co PF hosted 40+ people at a Fall Pollinator Seed Ball Workshop at the Ely Public Library.
Habitat of pollinators are critical to all foods that we eat! The purpose of the event was for LinnCoPF to share their knowledge of making seed balls that contain seeds that will grow into plants to help pollinators and monarchs. Attendees that make seed balls took seed balls home and remaining seed balls will be distributed in Linn County with a local Wednesday Night Bike Club.
This event was hosted by Linn County Pheasants Forever (non-profit conservation organization dedicated to the protection and enhancement of pheasant and other wildlife populations in and around Linn County). A free-will-donation will be accepted to support decorating a tree for the 2018 Festival of Trees in November.
