Iowa Scholastic Shooting Sports Collegiate Trap Tourney

There were student athletes from 11 different colleges in attendance at the 2018 Iowa SCTP Collegiate Shooting Sports state competition the Stockdale Gun Club in Ackley, Iowa on April 28, 2018. Linn County Pheasants Forever assisted the Corridor Clay Crushers team from Fall 2018 to present with student athletes from Kirkwood Community College, Mt Mercy University and Wartburg College. At the collegiate trap competition this team took 6th place during the day event.
Single award winners were Ciara Erenberger winning 6th place overall for females and Hunter Gehrke in 6th for males. Also given were season awards for eLeague consisting of Skeet, Doubles and Handicap. Corridor Clay Crushers ended up in 4th as a team. Individual awards for eLeague for CCC went to Hunter Gehrke who won High Overall and won 1st in Handicap. Straight patches (runs of hitting targets without missing (25s, 50s, 75s, and 100s) were awarded to Emily Luzum, Ciara Erenberger, Jacob McCammant, Alan Kriegermeier, Wes Carlson and Hunter Gehrke.
The Corridor Clay Crushers personally thanked the Linn County Pheasants Forever for their continued support of youth shooting sports in and around Linn County.
Awards and season statistics were managed by the Iowa DNR, Iowa SCTP and the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC).
