LinnCoPF in the CR Festival of Trees
November 18, 2017 by Tina Elwood Gehrke
Linn County Pheasants Forever supports local non-profits by decorating a tree that will be in a silent auction with ~100 other trees the weekend of November 17-19, 2017. The Linn County PF and the Collegiate Clay Crushers Trap team teamed together in decorating the Pheasants Forever of Linn County Iowa at Hawkeye Downs expo hall (in Cedar Rapids)! It was a great way to kickoff the holiday season.
As visitors walked through the hall of trees, they had the ability to vote for their favorite tree, and the last day of the festival there was an award for the "People's Choice". Admission was free and there was entertainment each day including local bands, choirs and acting. There was also holiday market with local merchants selling their products (outdoor art, candles, candy, dog toys, jewelry, etc). SANTA was on site along with free crafts for children.
If you missed the event in November of 2017, come see us in 2018 and thanks in advance for your vote for Linn County PF for your "People's Choice".
