Dick is a 33 year + veteran of the United States Government retired as a Special Agent of the FBI. He competed at The Olympic Level in International Skeet Shooting representing The USA. He is active in a host of local, state, and national conservation and environmental organizations and is a past president of The Linn County Conservation Board and The Hawkeye Area Council of The Boy Scouts of America. He is currently the Chairman of the Board of the Turn In Poachers ( T.I.P. ) Program for the Iowa Dept. of Natural Resources. Dick has been recognized nationally by B.A.S.S. ( Bass Angler Sportsman Society ) for his leadership in youth fishing programs both locally and nationally. Dick is a very active Pheasant Hunter and hunts in several states on an annual basis.

Dennis Goemaat

Director of the Linn County Conservation Department where he has worked for 34 years. He is also an adjunct faculty at Kirkwood Community College in the Parks and Natural Resources program. Dennis has a passion for Iowa’s natural resources with a special interest in improving water quality in Iowa’s rivers and streams. He believes in providing opportunities for people of all ages to enjoy Iowa’s outdoor recreation opportunities. He enjoys the quality of life Iowa has to offer and believes that we need to protect and conserve our natural resources while promoting a healthy environment and economy. His hobbies include fishing, hunting, hiking and gardening.

Kyle Robinson owns Kyle’s Framing & Gallery, a custom frame shop, and art gallery, and Indian Creek Lure Company, a tackle company, in Marion, IA. Kyle worked in the grocery business for 30 years in Iowa, and North Dakota, leaving to start his own business in 1999. Kyle has been active in Ducks Unlimited, Whitetails Unlimited, and Pheasants Forever.

Board Member Dan Biechler is the former Executive Director for the Linn County Conservation Board. He has worked for the Linn County Conservation Board for 40+ years, and ~28 as Executive Director. Dan has a passion for the outdoors. He grew up in the Swiss Valley area south of Dubuque and spent his youth hunting and exploring nature.

PF Wildlife Biologist/Board Member

Emory has a strong connection to agriculture as well as conservation. He farms and early in his career was a PF Farm Bill Wildlife Biologist working with landowners incorporate habitat in their operation. Emory brings PF, a degree from Central College in Biology and a minor in Environmental Science. He enjoys running, hunting and outdoor activities.
